Judah Smith… “One of the most famous love poems of all time, Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Sonnet 43, starts out: “How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.” Don’t count the ways you love God; count the ways He loves you. Your love pales in comparison to His.”

We can never give equal love to God. Because God is Love; while we are only the product of His Love. He loved us when we were unlovable. He restores us when we've faltered and he redeems us when we utterly fail. That Love cannot be fully returned because… 1) He doesn't need it, since God never fails, 2) we could never give it, because it's not inherently in our character. Therefore… just keep on counting God’s blessings.

Take time to count the ways God’s love has touched your life. Revisiting the blessings will open your heart and remind you of His Great Grace. Recounting them will give you courage for tomorrow. When I start counting the blessings, it returns me to the time when my children first discovered the song “Jesus loves me this I know.” And, when no one’s looking… I sing it again; because in the end... I'm a child in His eyes and nothing is more secure than admitting it.

Have a great day and enjoy the journey!
