Knowing... Doing... Jesus.
A.L.W... “Knowing the scripture without embracing the principles they teach, is like a man who fits a field but never plants a seed or reaps a harvest.”
Knowing is meaningless unless one applies the knowledge to life. Being a believer, without being a disciple is a great tragedy in the modern church. James 2:19-20 reminds us that believing and living what you believe are two very different things. It reads like this... “You believe that there is one God, you do well; even the demons believe and tremble. But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”
If I am hungry and you pray with passion and compassion for me, but walk away without giving me a piece of bread, I will still be hungry. However when you touch my need with your compassion, your good works turn your prayer into a revelation in my life: showing me the source of your kindness may even cause faith to spring forth in my heart. Knowing and Doing are two sides of the same coin and on this coin is printed the image of Jesus. So, share it with the world around you.
Have a great day and enjoy the journey!
